It’s Mother’s Day!

As I have too much to do for travelling home and visiting my parents at the moment, my boyfriend and I decided to send cookies to our moms – I would do the baking, he would do the packaging.

I browsed my endless saved-up-for-future-use-recipe-list and finally decided to make Shanna’s (Pineapple&Coconut, she is a very very nice woman!) Vanilla Cardamom Shortbread Cookies. Because, vanilla and cardamom.
I won’t post the recipe here because I exactly followed her instructions (except that I halved the ingredients). So, go visit her website!

Those cookies are pure heaven. Really, they are incredibly tender because of the starch, so delicate that they break as soon as you close your lips on them. See all those vanilla bean seeds? Yes, they are exactly as vanilla-y as they look. And then the subtle hint of cardamom – EVERYTHING is so damn right about them.
